Hi Joanne, Just wanted to let you know that we are keeping you in our prayers. You are a real trooper! Keep up the good work. We are very glad to hear that the treatments are doing their job and you will be home soon. Our love to you and Jim, Cheryl and Marty Pike
To my favorite first cousin, Hope you get better real soon. We are all thinking of you and can't wait to hear your laugh again. Love you, Neil & Kellee and boys
Looks like Mom might be coming home sooner that expected. Today they spoke about possibly coming home on Wednesday.
She is just now starting to lose a little bit of hair from the radiation. She doesn't seem too concerned though! She's got her favorite little white hat so she'll be all set. :)
Dad is having a wheelchair ramp built at the house so we can get her easily in and out, as she hasn't quite mastered stairs yet. We will be moving a bed into the living room and making a nice little cozy set up for her. Androscoggin Home Health will send an Oncology Nurse to the house at regular intervals to help with medications and daily tasks. Physical and Occupational Therapists will also visit.
The next visit with the Oncologist in scheduled for Tuesday 9/21. Hopefully she will get rave reviews!
I think the nurses at Marshwood will miss her when she moves home. She has had fun with them and they've been really good to her there. (Except she doesn't like their food! She prefers lobster rolls, McDonald's, etc.!)
Dearest Joann-ee ! So glad to hear you'll be home soon ! I'm sure the only people that are sad about it are the people at Marshwood. I know they loved having you there! We're all overjoyed to hear that the treatments are doing their job. Looking forward to having you back home where you belong. Wishing you all the best and sending you all our love and good thoughts!!! Jim, Michele, Jamie, and Alex
We are thinking of you daily and are hoping you will be coming home soon. We are all long overdue for a visit with our usual laughter and nonsense. Lots of catching-up to do. When you feel like having one of those visits with laughs and talking about our grandchildren, etc., send me a message or call and we will be there. Love, Dodie & Mike
